We are looking for a Head of People Operations to help us grow for the future


The Role

To assist with our company growth by ensuring that our people and culture are fully aligned with our vision we have identified the need for a Head of People Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the company growth strategy by ensuring that all organisational and people development initiatives are integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and managers to align behaviours with our company values
  • Work with the heads of departments to develop an approach to all aspects of organisational development to enhancing engagement, talent development, performance management, management and leadership development, career progression etc
  • Encourage a coaching style culture to support the required behaviour
  • Develop and manage recruitment strategy
  • Undertake Human Resource duties as required eg supporting recruitment and selection, drafting contracts of employment, supporting induction etc
  • Take the lead on people policies, i.e. disciplinary, sickness, capability, etc
  • Ensure that Instil’s people policies and procedures align with all current legislation and guidelines
  • Champion an inclusive and diverse working environment
  • Liaise with all stakeholders as required to coordinate all above initiatives

Need to have

  • CIPD qualified
  • 5 years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Significant experience in successfully initiating, leading and delivering organisational development initiatives (including values implementation, cultural alignment, enhancing engagement, talent development, management and leadership development, performance management, career progression) which support business results
  • Proven experience in supporting a senior team with strategic organisational development initiatives
  • Experience of using technology to support organisational development
  • Experience and knowledge of current legislation and guidelines related to people operations
  • Experience in recruitment of specialist / professional staff
  • Great communication skills oral and written; Strong planning and analytical skills; Evidence of strong influencing and collaboration skills

Good to have

  • Experience of working in a software enabled technology company
  • Experience of working with start up or a company with ambitions to scale
  • Strong technology skills
  • A coaching qualification
